Deutsche Bank to open Vegas casino

The Deutsche Bank will open a new casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, by mid-December. The project is considered one of the most expensive resorts in the history of the entertainment city and is expected to be a place where luxury and gaming will convene. According to the slogan of the 3,000 bed Cosmopolitan, the $4 billion hotel and casino is “Just the Right Amount of Wrong”, or at least this is what the casino promises.

Apparently, visitors to the hotel will be more comfortable than the Deutsche Bank itself, or so it seems as the German financer has declined to make comments on the investment in the Las Vegas casino. In fact, the bank did not take the first step to start the development but was convinced by developer Ian Bruce Eichner to put $1 billion in the project.

When the casino investment was made there was no hint of global financial crisis but as it developed, Eichner was not able to meet his loan payments and a forced sale was the way out. Instead of forgetting about the construction, the Deutsche Bank decided to take the casino in its hands and provide the necessary financial support.

The new casino will have a total of 1,474 slot machines and 83 gambling tables. However, whether those casino games will provide large profits to the bank or losses remains a mystery. It has to be taken into consideration that casino lovers have less money to spend on bets after the financial crisis and they are more likely to bet in a casino near home than to travel to Las Vegas.
